Ann L. Henderson is the executive director of the Florida Humanities Council. She has a Ph.D. in American Civilization from George Washington University and has taught history on all levels. In the 1980s she served as a U.S. foreign service officer in Peru and Honduras, in 1984 receiving the State Department's Meritorious Honor Award for excellence in cultural and educational programs.
Gary R. Mormino is a professor of history at the University of South Florida. He lives in Temple Terrace with his wife and daughters. He is the author of two award-winning books, Immigrants on the Hill and the Immigrant World of Ybor City.
