Harry E. Luther, born in St. Petersburg, Florida, is the Director of the Mulford B. Foster Bromeliad Identification Center and curator of the Living Collections at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida. With 40 years of field work in bromeliad habitats, including Florida, he is a much-requested speaker for horticulture and botanical groups nationally and internationally, and has published over a hundred papers both technical and popular.
